Buying Materials at MDC Design Center
Straight answers to what homeowners and contractors ask us most before they visit the Cherry Hill showroom.
Do you sell to homeowners, or only to contractors?
Both. You do not need a business account or a contractor licence to buy from us. Homeowners walk in and buy the same cabinets, countertops and flooring that our trade accounts do. Contractors, builders, remodelers and investors get trade pricing on top, which matters most on full-kitchen and multi-unit orders. If you are a homeowner working with your own contractor, either of you can place the order — many customers pick the materials themselves and have their installer collect them.
Do you install the cabinets and countertops you sell?
No. MDC Design Center is a materials supplier, not a contractor. We stock and sell the products; your own installer or contractor does the work. What we do help with is making sure you buy the right things: comparing door styles and finishes, checking your measurements against a material list, and flagging what a job typically needs beyond the boxes — fillers, panels, toe kick, moldings. If you still need a crew, we are glad to point you toward contractors who shop here.
How fast can I actually get my materials?
Most of what we sell is on the showroom floor or in our warehouse rather than on a factory order. Select cabinet and flooring collections are available for same-day or next-day pickup, and we deliver across South Jersey and the Philadelphia area. This is the single biggest reason contractors buy here: when a crew is already scheduled, a four-week factory lead time costs real money. Availability does vary by collection and colour, so call ahead on large orders and we will confirm what is on the shelf.
Can I see and handle samples before I buy?
Yes, and we would rather you did. Cabinet doors open, drawer boxes pull out, and countertop and flooring samples sit under the same light in our Cherry Hill showroom. Photographs on a screen misrepresent colour more than most people expect — warm whites in particular. For a kitchen you will live with for fifteen years, an hour in the showroom is worth more than an afternoon of browsing online. Walk-ins are welcome, or book a free consultation and bring your plans.
What do you stock besides kitchen cabinets?
Quartz and natural stone countertops, waterproof LVP and laminate flooring in 5mm, 6mm and 8mm with 20–22 MIL wear layers, over 140 bathroom vanities across a dozen collections, acoustic and PVC wall panels, and primed pine trim and molding. The point of carrying all of it is that one showroom visit covers a whole project instead of four suppliers with four lead times and four delivery dates.
Which areas do you serve?
Our showroom is at 1970 Old Cuthbert Rd, Ste 250 in Cherry Hill, NJ, and we deliver roughly 30 miles out — across Camden and Burlington County including Voorhees, Marlton, Moorestown, Mount Laurel, Haddonfield, Medford, Maple Shade and Pennsauken, plus Philadelphia and parts of Delaware County. Customers regularly drive in from further out in New Jersey and from Wilmington for stock we have on hand.
