Q2What are your showroom hours?

Monday through Saturday, 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM. We are closed on Sundays. Walk-ins are welcome during all open hours — no appointment is required, though calling ahead at (609) 707-4527 helps us prepare a designer for your visit.

Q3Do I need an appointment to visit the showroom?

No appointment is needed. Walk in during any open hour and a designer will assist you. If you want dedicated time with a designer for a full kitchen layout consultation, calling ahead at (609) 707-4527 ensures we can schedule uninterrupted time for your project.

Q4What areas do you serve?

We serve homeowners and contractors across South Jersey and the Philadelphia area, including:

  • Camden County: Cherry Hill, Voorhees, Marlton, Haddonfield, Mount Laurel, Moorestown, Medford, Berlin, Collingswood, Pennsauken, Camden
  • Burlington County: Marlton, Evesham, Lumberton, Cinnaminson, Burlington
  • Gloucester County: Woodbury and surrounding areas
  • Philadelphia & surrounding PA counties

Delivery is available throughout all of these areas.

Q5What makes MDC different from Home Depot or IKEA?

Three core differences:

  • Plywood construction: Every cabinet line at MDC uses plywood boxes. Home Depot and IKEA use particleboard, which swells with humidity, strips screws faster, and fails sooner.
  • Full-scale displays: You walk through complete installed kitchens and compare full countertop slabs — not door samples and 4-inch chips.
  • Free design with real measurements: We measure your actual kitchen and create a 3D layout before any order is placed. Big-box stores offer self-service tools, not professional design support.

Kitchen Cabinets

Q6What cabinet styles do you carry?

We carry 16+ door styles in stock, including:

  • White Shaker, Blue Shaker, Grey Shaker, Maple Shaker
  • Oxford White, Antique White, Piano Grey, Aria Grey
  • Espresso, Urban Oak, Grey, Maple Walnut
  • Cosmo Sand, Delano Grey, Roma Clay
  • Face frame and frameless (full overlay) configurations

All styles are on display in our Cherry Hill showroom. View the full cabinet collection →

Q7What's the difference between face frame and frameless cabinets?

Face frame cabinets have a solid wood frame on the front of the box. Traditional American style — strong, familiar, slightly less interior access due to the frame.

Frameless (full overlay) cabinets have no front frame. European style — more interior storage access, cleaner modern look, doors fully cover the cabinet box. Both options are available and on display at MDC.

Q8Are your cabinets plywood or particleboard?

All cabinet lines at MDC use plywood box construction. Plywood is stronger, handles humidity better, holds screws and hinges more reliably, and lasts significantly longer than particleboard. South Jersey's climate — with summer humidity — is particularly hard on particleboard over time. We do not carry particleboard cabinet lines.

Q9Do you have cabinets in stock for same-week pickup?

Yes. Most of our cabinet lines are in stock and available for same-week pickup from our Cherry Hill location. Call (609) 707-4527 before your visit to confirm that your chosen style and configuration is available — we'll hold it for you.

Q10How long does a cabinet order take if not in stock?

Special-order or custom cabinet lines typically take 3 to 6 weeks from order to delivery, depending on the manufacturer and finish. We provide an exact lead time during your design consultation based on the specific style and configuration you select. In-stock orders are available same-week — no waiting.

Q11Do you offer RTA (Ready-to-Assemble) cabinets?

Yes. We carry RTA cabinet options that are flat-packed and available for immediate pickup. These are the same plywood-box construction as our assembled lines — just shipped flat for customers who want to reduce delivery cost or handle their own installation. Ask our team which lines are available RTA during your visit.

Q12Do you offer wholesale pricing for contractors?

Yes. Contractors, builders, and developers purchasing in volume can ask about our contractor pricing program at the showroom. We supply cabinets, countertops, flooring, and vanities to projects across South Jersey and the Philadelphia area. Call (609) 707-4527 or visit to discuss your project volume.

Quartz Countertops

Q13What countertop styles are on display at your Cherry Hill showroom?

We display full-size quartz slabs — not 4-inch samples — including:

  • Calacatta family: Calacatta Reale, Calacatta Mystic, Calacatta Belaros, Cal New Taj
  • Gold tones: Avenza, Borghini Gold, Giotto Gold, Cirrus Oro
  • Dark: Michelangelo Black

Full slab display means you compare the actual veining and tone at countertop scale — the only accurate way to choose a surface material. View the countertop collection →

Q14Why quartz instead of granite or marble?

Each has trade-offs:

  • Quartz: Non-porous (no sealing ever), consistent appearance, highly durable (7 on the Mohs scale), 25+ year lifespan. The most practical choice for family kitchens.
  • Granite: Natural variation, very durable, but requires annual sealing to prevent staining.
  • Marble: Luxurious appearance, but porous and prone to etching from acids. Better for low-traffic bathroom vanity applications.

We carry and display all three. Most Cherry Hill customers choose quartz for kitchen countertops and granite or marble for accent areas.

Q15Does quartz need to be sealed?

No — quartz never needs sealing. Quartz is an engineered stone (93% crushed quartz + 7% resin binders), which makes it non-porous. Liquids, bacteria, and stains cannot penetrate the surface. Clean with soap and water — no special products, no annual maintenance. This is the primary practical advantage over granite and marble, both of which require periodic sealing.

Q16How much do quartz countertops cost?

Countertop cost depends on slab selection, square footage, edge profile, and installation complexity. As a general reference for South Jersey:

  • Standard quartz installed: $60–$120 per square foot
  • Premium/large-format slabs: $100–$180+ per square foot
  • Average Cherry Hill kitchen (30–45 sq ft): $2,000–$5,400 installed

MDC pricing is significantly lower than big-box retailers for comparable quality. Get an exact quote by visiting our showroom or calling (609) 707-4527.

Q17Can quartz countertops be used in bathrooms?

Yes — quartz is ideal for bathroom vanity tops. It's non-porous (no mold or mildew penetration), doesn't etch from toothpaste or soap, and requires zero maintenance. Many of our bathroom vanities can be paired with a quartz top from our countertop collection. Ask our team about vanity-countertop pairing options in the showroom.

Q18What edge profiles do you offer?

We offer multiple edge profiles including:

  • Eased (flat): Clean, modern look — most popular for contemporary kitchens
  • Beveled: Slight angled cut — transitional style
  • Bullnose: Fully rounded — traditional and family-friendly
  • Ogee: Decorative S-curve — classic/formal
  • Waterfall: Countertop continues vertically down the cabinet side — premium modern look

Edge profile selection is part of the design consultation — samples are available to view in the showroom.

Flooring

Q19What type of flooring do you carry?

We carry SPC luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring — specifically the Alpine 22MIL series and Harper series. SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) is 100% waterproof, dimensionally stable, and built for South Jersey's seasonal temperature swings.

Current in-stock styles include: Durban Oak, Sedona Gray, Stonehaven, Barry Oak, Bruno Oak, Janeiro Mill, Lapland Oak, Napali Oak, Nicoya Fir, Osage Oak, Palermo Valley, Preston Oak, Rivawood Oak, Woodbury Oak, and Carmel Drift (9x48"). Browse all flooring styles →

Q20What does 22MIL wear layer mean?

The wear layer is the protective top coat on a luxury vinyl plank, measured in mils (thousandths of an inch).

  • 6–12 mil: Residential light-use
  • 12–20 mil: Standard residential
  • 22 mil: Heavy residential / light commercial — what MDC carries

A 22-mil wear layer resists scratches, pet nails, furniture dragging, and heavy foot traffic significantly better than standard residential LVP.

Q21Is SPC flooring truly waterproof?

Yes. SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) core is 100% waterproof — not just water-resistant. The core is made of limestone powder and PVC, which does not absorb water. This makes it suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and anywhere moisture is a concern. Unlike hardwood, SPC won't warp, swell, or buckle if water sits on it.

Q22Can SPC flooring go over existing floors?

In most cases, yes. SPC flooring is a floating installation (click-lock planks, no adhesive required) and can be installed over most existing hard surfaces — tile, vinyl, or concrete — as long as the subfloor is flat (within 3/16" per 10 feet) and structurally sound. It typically cannot go over carpet or existing floating floors. Our team reviews subfloor conditions during the design consultation.

Q23How does SPC compare to hardwood?
  • Water resistance: SPC is 100% waterproof. Hardwood absorbs water and warps.
  • Durability: SPC resists scratches and dents better than most hardwoods.
  • Cost: SPC is significantly less expensive than solid hardwood.
  • Feel: Hardwood has a warmer, more premium feel underfoot.
  • Refinishing: Hardwood can be refinished multiple times. SPC cannot.
  • Best use: SPC for kitchens, bathrooms, basements. Hardwood for living areas where moisture isn't a concern.

Bathroom Vanities

Q24What bathroom vanity sizes do you carry?

We carry over 140 vanity options ranging from 24" to 84" wide, including:

  • Single sink vanities: 24", 30", 36", 42", 48"
  • Double sink vanities: 48", 60", 72", 84"
  • Series available: Adora, Aria, Arte, Ashley

All vanities are in-stock and available for same-week pickup. Browse the full vanity collection →

Q25Do your vanities come with countertops included?

Many vanities include a top; others are sold as cabinet-only. In the showroom, we can pair any vanity with a custom quartz top from our countertop collection — you choose the slab, we specify the cut. This is the best approach for premium vanities where you want the countertop to match your bathroom's design exactly.

Q26How do I choose the right vanity size for my bathroom?

As a general guide:

  • Small bathroom (under 40 sq ft): 24"–30" single vanity
  • Medium bathroom (40–70 sq ft): 36"–48" single or 48" double
  • Master bath (70+ sq ft): 60"–84" double vanity

Key clearance requirements: leave at least 21" in front of the vanity and 15" from center of sink to any side wall. Bring your bathroom measurements to the showroom — our designers will recommend the right configuration for your space.

Kitchen & Bathroom Remodeling

Q27How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Cherry Hill, NJ?

Kitchen remodel costs in Cherry Hill vary significantly based on scope:

  • Cosmetic refresh (cabinets + countertops only): $8,000–$18,000
  • Mid-range full remodel: $18,000–$35,000
  • High-end with layout changes: $40,000–$85,000+

A new kitchen adds $2,000–$5,000 to resale value in the Camden County market on average. MDC provides free 3D design and full material pricing — no obligation to purchase. Call (609) 707-4527 to schedule.

Q28How long does a kitchen remodel take?

Timeline depends on the scope of work:

  • Cabinet replacement only: 2–3 days installation
  • Cabinets + countertops + flooring: 1–2 weeks
  • Full renovation with layout changes: 3–6 weeks

In-stock materials eliminate the largest source of delay — waiting on orders. Most MDC projects start within 1–2 weeks of design sign-off because our inventory is on-site.

Q29What does the free design consultation include?

The free consultation includes:

  • In-showroom walkthrough of cabinet, countertop, and flooring options
  • Discussion of your kitchen dimensions and layout goals
  • 3D kitchen design based on your measurements
  • Material specification and full pricing breakdown
  • No purchase obligation — you can take the design and pricing home to review

Most consultations take 45–60 minutes. Walk in during showroom hours or call (609) 707-4527 to schedule dedicated designer time.

Q30What kitchen layouts do you design for?

We design for all standard kitchen configurations:

  • L-shaped: Most common in Cherry Hill's 1970s–90s homes
  • U-shaped: Maximum storage and counter space
  • Galley: Two parallel runs — efficient for narrow spaces
  • Island: Open plan with freestanding center unit
  • Peninsula: Connected island — popular in open-plan layouts

Bring your floor plan or measurements; our designers will recommend the optimal configuration for your space.

Q31Do you offer bathroom remodeling services?

Yes. Our bathroom remodeling services include vanity replacement, quartz countertop installation, waterproof SPC flooring, and full bathroom renovation coordination. The same free design process applies — we measure your bathroom, recommend products from our in-stock inventory, and provide full pricing before any commitment. Learn about bathroom remodeling →

Pricing & Payment

Q32How do your prices compare to Home Depot or Lowe's?

MDC pricing is competitive with — and often lower than — big-box retailers for comparable quality. The key difference is that big-box cabinet lines are typically particleboard construction at a similar price to our plywood-box cabinets. For the same material quality (plywood), MDC is significantly less expensive. We also offer wholesale and contractor pricing for volume purchases.

Q33Do you offer financing?

Financing options are available for qualified customers. Ask about financing terms during your showroom visit or call (609) 707-4527 for current options. We work with third-party financing partners to offer payment plans suited to renovation budgets.

Q34Do you provide written quotes?

Yes. After your free design consultation, we provide a written itemized quote covering cabinets, countertops, flooring, and vanities based on your specific measurements and material selections. There is no obligation to purchase from the quote. Most customers use the written quote to compare and finalize their renovation budget before proceeding.

Q35Can I get a price estimate without visiting the showroom?

We can provide rough budget ranges over the phone based on your approximate kitchen size and material preferences. Call (609) 707-4527 and have your kitchen dimensions ready (linear feet of cabinets, countertop square footage, floor area). For an accurate itemized quote, a showroom visit or in-home measurement is required.
